The malas: jealousy, fear, competitiveness; as an evolutionary woman we have to look at these and how to rid ourselves of them. It is our own lack, our own sense of unworthiness that according to this tradition is what causes us pain. How do we do our shadow work? How do we touch and identify our own inner goddess archetype?
It's time to embrace our inner Durga like nature, take our seat upon our tiger (primal energy) and heal. It's our time to commit to personal dharma and planetary upliftment.
The late Sally Kempton was a dear teacher and mentor of mine and an inspiration as a dynamic woman and leading expert in the Goddess Traditions. In honor of her, we will focus on her book, Awakening Shakti. Her work was exceptionally tangible, and relatable, and meets us all exactly where we are in life. She spoke to us as modern-day women living in the world with current challenges and responsibilities. This is our path: to heal, awaken to our divine self while walking about the world.
